I purchased a us roaming data plan and the data works but I can’t call…… I just get a recording that I’m out of minutes.

@T-J If data and texting work in the USA but not voice calls the most likely issue is that your phone is not capable or enabled for VoLTE. What phone do you have, is it on this list?

You need a VoLTE approved phone to work in the USA because they shut down all 3G networks in 2022. If your phone is not on the list or a newer version of one that is, try setting it to 2G and connecting to T-Mobile. It's a long shot as that is being shut down too, but seems to be still available in some areas.

Or, after reading again, did you buy a US data roaming only plan? If so then it doesn't include talk and text.

If your phone is not on the list (which only lists the major brands and models), google your phone model and "VoLTE". There may be a way to enable the volte in a hidden settings. Good luck.
