I have a 'CAN-US-MEX' plan, and after spending a week in Puerto Vallarta, I can't say that the mobile internet was perfect. It didn't matter whether I used Movistar or AT&T. Maybe someone can recommend what I should change in the settings

If you were in a condo or apt building using data...perhaps the network signal was weak where you were located. Concrete/steel building construction can degrade the signal perdy dramatically. I had no such issues while I was in Mazatlan...service was just as it would be at home. AT&T and Movistar are available while Telcel is the predominate network there. No pasa nada amigo.
