My current plan is $36 for 50gb data at 5g. Canada and U.S . With unlimited talk and text within each. I haven't used it yet in the states. But I plan to travel on vacation soon to States. My question is will my cell automatically work or will I have to make sure roaming in turned on. Last time I visited a boarder town I got a text message saying something like hey your close to the states add us roaming for $ X . Even though I had my current plan.

I had same question (just entered USA from Canada and have the Can/USA Mexico plan). I turned on US roaming. Correct? I won’t get gazillion dollar phone charge?
