IF I WANT TO CHANGE PLANS, BUT THE PLAN I WANT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO NEW SUBSCRIBERS, HOW DO I GET AROUND THAT TO CHANGE MY PLAN? OTHERWISE I AM GOING TO LEAVE PUBLIC MOBILE AND SWITCH TO FREEDOM MOBILE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A WORK AROUND????

They don't want us to downgrade plans now...unless we want to start a completely new account.

Well, there is but it's a lot of work and costs money. You'd need to port out to a different provider, wait a day or two and then port back to Public Mobile as a new customer. This could cost you whatever the cheapest plan you can find out there and whatever they charge for a SIM card. This is really and sadly the only way.

There is NO WAY AROUND to get a plan available to new customers only.

You would have to Close your current plan, lose number, etc. and open a NEW account with new email, new number, new SIM.

We still live in a free country so you can do whatever you want with mobile services and threating to leave never worked for PM.

I'm in the same boat -totally stupid. I joined this provider because they have good rates and now I'm getting ripped off not being able to downgrade my plan
