Want to add a new SIM card. Having problems with the sim card I have

I know I can go online and enter my new SIM card. Was just wondering on e I entered the new SIM card will my phone work ok. I would doit online first the I would take the old sim card out and install the new SIM card. Is that all I need to do.

You cannot ADD new SIM car, you can only replace existing SIM with a new SIM. And yes, it will work right away.

Go to Profile where you can do this:

- Change phone number

- Change SIM number

- Transfer Phone Number

What problems are you having with the old SIM card? Sim cards rarely become defective. Maybe there are other issues that we can help with.

My phone says no sim card 2 or 3 times a day. Have to power my phone off and then power it back on for it to work.

You might want to try the old SIM card in another working phone. To see if similar issue. It will help determine whether hardware/phone issue versus the actual SIM card.

Ok thanks. Can I put that sim card into an iPhone 8 and it will have my phone number attached to it.

SIM cards are very robust so normally nothing could go wrong with them.

Take out the SIM and inspect for any scratches to the copper contacts and any physical damages.
Also check the SIM tray to see if it is bent or damaged. If it is, they are cheap to buy from Amazon.

If none then use some rubbing alcohol and clean the copper contacts with a micro fibre cloth.

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings
