I have been trying to transfer my number, my previous provider confirmed the transfer and send the SMS for confirmation. all was answered, the phone number no longer appears on their end. But I cannot get public mobile to update it. My account shows another number. What I am missing? should I change SIMs? is there a step after the SMS. I am lost!

The old SIM will continue to work for about 2 hours. Once it stops working and it shows SOS on your phone. Power off your phone and switch to the PM SIM or eSIM.
