are you using Android or iPhone? did you try Reset Network settings?

did the text work before ? or you just joined and it never works?

if you are using Android, try to clear cache or I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Google Message

if you are on iPhone, make sure the Carrier Profile is updated and you have the latest iOS

SMS doesn't use Wi-Fi or data, so those settings wouldn't have any effect. Last night, I had a friend tell me about the inability to send SMS messages. After a little while (maybe 1/2 an hour), it just started working again on its own. There may be some work being done on the network.
