XIAOMI phone

I have a model Redmi 13C. Frequently, when I turn on my data, the service is just not there for me. Resetting my phone seems to get my data back most times, but this is very frustrating. Any suggestions, as far as phone settings go, for example?

hi @urska

sorry, your phone is not designed for Canadian network

your 3G network has only 1 band (PM needs two)

and your 4G network has 2 bands, which PM needs more

seems like it is the band issue caused the problem

If you are getting calls, then try changing the network mode to 3G only or Wcdma only and you might be able to get the data on 3G

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try when I can, but I still wonder why I'm not getting data to work for me every time.

yes, not getting text all the time confirmed that it is not an APN issue but a problem with your phone being not designed for Canadian market. You won't get good data connection out of it, you will need another phone
