Make sure you only Public Mobile sim card is in the phone. Check VPN settings page, some local sims use VPN , you need to delete those VPN settings. Again, you can then Reset Network Settings when you are back

I'm going to Japan for two weeks and getting a local SIM card. This is my first time using a SIM card.

My phone is a Galaxy S21 FE (not compatible with eSIM)

Q1. Will my phone work right after just switching the SIM card?

Q2. If my phone needs to change any settings, please tell me how.

Q3. When I come back to Canada and put the original SIM back in, do I need to change any settings?
