Public Mobile doesn't offer any service there. You'll have to use a combination of Wi-Fi or service from another company for your communications.

I use an ESIM when travelling. Cheap data and easy to download and set up. Public has no service in the Dominican.

@tacoma_01 To add on to what @DDM69 posted, look at a company like Airalo or Ubigi. I have used both successfully in the past (assuming your phone can use esim).

Use WhatsApp when connected to wifi for free calling and texting.

@tacoma_01 problem with WhatsApp is it only work if the other party has it. For true free calls and text, use VoIP app. Some good ones are Textnow and Fongo
