You are on a prepaid service, and once you reach your data max, it simply won’t work until you a) purchase an add-on or b) your 30 day cycle resets.

I'm not sure when I am using Data that I paid for in my plan. Do I use data when I use my plaan as hotspot, do I use data when I watch YT videos? Last month's usage when I checked I used only 0.05% of the data allowed in my $30 plan. Feel like I'm missing out. Can someone tell me how to use the data I paid for and not go over the limit? Thanks.

Watching YT uses data when you're not using wifi. You can go into cell settings and disable data to all apps that you don't usually use. Also, disable wifi assist. You might not be using all your data allotment for the 30 days of your plan. Tough to downgrade to cheaper plans nowadays.

ed

If your phone is show 3G, 4G/LTE or 5G on top of your phone then it is using data. If the is a fan icon then you are connected to wifi.

Unfortunately, PM have made it impossible to downgrade your plan when you check in your account what plans you are eligible for. You can only upgrade.

Remember if you are streaming on your data. It could consume data very quickly and when it is used up. You won’t have data until your renewal date.
