@mynickname3

I am assuming you are opening a second account for the 416 area code…only 1 number/1 account/1 email address. You also need to purchase a second SIM card for the second account.

- No it is not a problem port from Bell prepaid.

- No it is not a problem but remember that you will be paying the taxes which the area code is registered to. Ontario taxes will be lower than NS/PEI taxes.

- It is against PM rules to post the Porting department number on this Community so if you have issue. Just reach out to us and we will pm you the number.

- You will need to use a different email address for each of the area code you want to port out but you will paying for 2 different accounts if that is what you want…pricey if you are keeping both numbers/account.

If you are replacing the 902 number with the 416 number and have only one account then the 902 number will be returned to the carrier you got the number from. You will need to login to your 902 account and go to Account tab>Transfer Phone Number. Wait for the text from Bell confirming you are porting over to PM with YES with the Bell SIM in your phone.

I recently help a friend transfer the second number from Freedom to the existing PM account. It was getting too expensive keeping 2 numbers/2 accounts.

- Activation can only be done by downloading the PM app on your second phone for the second account. A CS_Agent can only help if you run into porting issues.

I hope this helped.

My current phone number is 902 which I ported from another carrier when I opened the PM account a few years back. I need to port in a 416 number (bell prepaid) in the next few days.

Any difficulty when porting from bell preapid?

Would it be an issue if the number I am going to port in has a totally different area code?

What is the phone number of the porting team if I encounter any issue??

Is there any way to preserve the 902 phone number once I port in a 416 number?

is it better for me to submit the porting request myself on the self-serve portal or is it better i submit the request through an agent so it is done properly?
