It's all going to depend on the type of phone you have if the talk portion will work.

The 3G service is gone in the US, but you might be able to get calls to work on 2G.

Only phones with VoLTE enabled on the PM whitelist will work unfortunately.

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/volte

Turn off automatic connect and choose manual. Search for T-Mobile and see if it will connect. Set phone to 4G or LTE. If you see AT&T try that also.

Hi all,

I'm traveling in the USA. I bought a Public Mobile add-on for talk, text, and data. Unfortunately, the "talk" part doesn't work. I get "Call Failed" every time.

I can't make or take calls.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,
=L=
______
Leo Di Croce

That's odd, sorry to hear that OP. Best to message cs_agent under "community" to check it for you on the backend.

Thank you. Yes, it works now, using T-Mobile.

BTW - My phone does not appear to be on the whitelist. It's an iPhone SE running iOS 15.8.3. The whitelist says "iOS 16 & above."
