If you dont need to port your number , then just login My Account, Payment page -> Manage Subscription and turn off Subscribed and your service will end at the end of current cycle

Your account will be closed, SIM will stop working and your number will be returned to the carrier you got the number from.

The new provider service begins the day that service is activated

I don't suggest the above. If a customer waits untikl the plan cycle is finished to turn off autopay, the plan will get renewed. To make matters worse, the above is the worst possible thing to do in combination with porting the number out. Not only will the customer get charged for another full plan cycle at Public Mobile, but one the customer ports out, the Public Mobile service will stop working, and there will also be no refund or it either.
