Mailbox number to retrieve voicemail

I have a phone app Mytello i use when i am out of cell range for my public mobile but can use wifi to make calls with ,i am trying to retrive anyy Voicemail if possible but it asks for mailbox number ,not sure if i need to be in cell range for that

you can call yourself and press * when you hear your own greeting and get to retrieve voicemail mode

or you can call this number: 587-580-4001
