International Roaming with my current number

I'm travelling to Asia and need my number to be active to receive clients calls and texts. However, Public Mobile doesn't seem to support international roaming.

Is there any way you can roam with your number? Anyone tried?

Hi @Sueyeon

PM service is not supporting ASIA , PM packages at max supporting NA (CAD/US/MEX). PM also not supporting calls over WIFI.

You will have to obtain a travel SIM/eSIM to have a communication in ASIA. Keep in mind that your mobile number will not be available.

Some people on the community used textnow service (but now sure about ASIA, you will have to check it.)

Since PM won't work in Asia, you should be able to forward your calls to text now or fongo. Not sure about the text message.

Call forwarding works fine, but text messages are a different beast. Only way to receive those while in Asia is to leave you sim in a burner phone at home, plugged into a charger. Download a text forwarding app on that phone, and set your text messages to forward to an email address. The phone will need to remain on at all times to function though. And if it does a software update and reboots, you may need someone to check on it and reopen the text forwarding app.
