Are you guys going to be implementing Googles new RCS platform for advanced messaging? You'd technically be the first carrier in Canada to do so.... 😛

That would be cool, but very unlikely as there are many important things that they need to deal with first like an app for IOS and Android

Seems unlikely PM would be the first. Developing something that would really only be beneficial to android users doesn't seem like an efficient use of resources at this point.

Looks like Rogers is the first Canadian carrier to offer this to their Rogers and Fido customers.

http://mobilesyrup.com/2016/12/13/rcs-messaging-is-now-available-to-some-rogers-and-fido-customers/

We'll probably get it if and when Telus gets it, I don't think it's something PM has any control over...

Hopefully Telus (and Bell as they share the network) follow Rogers which would make RCS supported for most Canadians...
