Hi,

I recently bought a plan for my mother. I followed all instructions with porting over with an Esim. To provide context, I bought it while she was travelling in the USA (she uses a canadian number) I used a secondary number, confirmed everything work. Then I transfered her number over. It has been 3 days, we still haven't recieved a confirmation text and her texts still show the secondary number.

So you have taken a temp number & wanted to move her number to PM? She is now in CA?

Yes I used a temp number, confirmed its validity (data, calling, text) then transferred her over from Telus using the app to replace the temp number.

What happened then? Did you reach out to CS people, usually this kinda scenario can get resolved asap, if you take help. I believe you have used the options in the app, the one in the last page (account/support)

Just wanting to confirm, that while she was traveling to the US, her former Canadian SIM was still active and not under airplane mode? When switching over your original provider will usually prompt you with a text message notifying you of a change in number. If her original SIM wasn't active, or if she was only using Data Roaming and not roaming for calls/texts she may have missed this. Could you verify?

It shouldn’t be any issues if replacing the temporary number didn’t go through. If this is the case, just reach out to a CS_Agent and they will have your mother’s service/account running.

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
