I want to send audio messages on MMS

How do I do it? When I click on the voice record icon for messaging, it says, "Cannot send audio messages at this time"

@douger4444 are you able to send pictures? It should work if you are.

Usually just hold and record and send.

Sometimes, if you go into your network settings and click on reset network and then reboot, that sometimes fixes things. Give it a try.

@douger4444 Are you making sure to have cellular data enabled, which is necessary for MMS? If you can't send pictures either then it could be an APN issue assuming MMS and data are both turned on.

hi @douger4444 make sure your mobile data is on. MMS , for sending audio, needs mobile data enabled

You mean send Audio on SMS not MMS.

Try these troubleshooting:

- Check if iPhone is on the latest iOS 18.2 if it is a new iPhone.

- Turn on Airplane mode then turn off Airplane mode.

- Disable Sound Recognition in the Accessibility setting.

- Reset Network settings.

- Do a force restart.

There's no such thing as audio on SMS. By definition such a message with an attached file is MMS.
