topic Same Sim Card - New Phone? in Get Support

Am I able to use my previous Public Mobile SIM card in a new phone for my son? The number I used for it was transferred to my new SIM. I assume that I can use the default phone number on this same old SIM?

@shellyrwang active SIM cards can be used in another phone but old SIM cards that have been deactivated are done. You will need to get a new SIM card for your son's phone. Also note that at Public Mobile each line must have it's own account and own email address when registered.

You can buy a SIM card in person at a Telus/Koodo or Mobile Klinik store near you for $10 or you can order from Amazon for $5 and if you have a Prime account shipping will be free and should arrive in 1 to 2 days. Ordering directly from Public Mobile is also an option but can take several weeks to arrive.

I haven't deactivated this card yet. I just switched plans this morning but haven't closed the account yet. I;d like to keep it, use in my son's phone and keep under the same email, login, etc. I have moved to a new provider. Is this possible?

if the sim is still active, yes you can swap it to another phone and continue using no problem.
If you transferred your plan/account to a new sim, it typically deactivates the old sim as you can only have 1 active sim per plan/account.

Ok thank you! I transferred the number (which had been transferred from a previous SIM years ago) but that's all. I'll give it a try to see 🙂
