      <title>Why can't i send/receive a message from my phone number</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having issues with receiving and sending text messages and phone calls after activating my new esim. The data is working but the service is not. When I checked the esim settings it seems correct. Any advice on this? I can't even login into the public mobile app and receive the OTP verification.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is it a major brand phone?&lt;BR /&gt;On my cheap Android, I turn on Airplane Mode, then turn it off 5 seconds later and things just work.&amp;nbsp; However, on my daughter's port it took almost an hour.&amp;nbsp; She had a temporary number for 40 or 50 minutes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Text someone (in your own house if you can) and see if they get a text from a weird number.&amp;nbsp; Or go to About Phone and look what your phone number is.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

After calling the port help line they confirmed the port didn't go through. Currently standing by so they can process it again.       <description>&lt;P&gt;we just got our new sim card in the mail.&amp;nbsp; went to set it up.&amp;nbsp; Says it'll be sending a text with verification code and the phone can't recieve texts.&amp;nbsp; He can do outgoing calls from the new number (we picked a number from the list) but if I try to call it back a lady answers and hangs up on me.&amp;nbsp; It's like the phone number it gave my son is already in use.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/516821"&gt;@Liam0909&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It seems that occasionally there is a glitch and someone is assigned a number already in use. &amp;nbsp;Are you able to select "didn't get the code" when you try to log in, and get it sent to email? &amp;nbsp;If you can get logged in that way you can change the phone number yourself. &amp;nbsp;If you can't that will be Public Mobile customer service at the chat icon or the link I gave, the porting team phone number can't help if this is not a transfer from another provider.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
