iPhone SE gen 1 should be a physical sim. Correct? If yes, have you tried the SIM in another phone?

Hello,

Two weeks ago I changed my phone number in my Public Mobile account. I was able to receive phone call to my new number and receive call.
later I realized that iMessage was sending message from my old phone number.

Today I tried rebooting my iPhone SE (first gen) and now I do not have service anymore.

I already tried resetting the network settings without success so now I do not have service anymore (I do have wifi). It say network unavailable.

when I go in my phone settings (Settings -> Phone) I do see my new number (before rebooting I was seeing my old phone number).

Any advice on how to fix it? I gave this phone to my mother for any emergency but now it’s useless.

While writing my whole post, the iPhone SE was sitting on my desk…for whatever reason the service came back with the correct phone number in iMessage.

So it seems to be fixed now. I will keep a eye on it during the evening to see if it stop working again.
