You can only upgrade your plan.

Hi there,

I just subscribed same plan last month as price $30/month, however, it dropped to $29/month. Can I apply for this deal with lower cost?

Thank you

David

It may not be worth it to you, but one way to downgrade is to start again. Port your number out to another provider and then back in using a new email address, which will result in a new account #, loss of any and all referrals etc. It is frustrating to know that even on a prepaid -no-contract plan, you are somewhat forced to only be able to select a higher priced plan. Good luck whichever path you choose.

You said 4G, so I guess you're referring to the 20 GB plan. At $30, it included US roaming. Now at $29, it's Canada-only.

Two ways to do it.

1) In your app, do you see a plan that you can switch to that's cheaper than $29? If so, switch to it immediately (losing the rest of days left on the plan). Then wait a day and the $29 plan should show up. Select it to renew at the next cycle (or immediately if you need the extra data ASAP).

2) If you don't see anything cheaper, then you will have to switch carriers and switch back to Public. Port out and port back after a day. Others have said you'll need to use a different e-mail address and get a new SIM.
