I am PM subcriber, if I go to China , can I receive text massages that is sent from Canada in China?

sorry @Henry88 you cannot, PM. does not have roaming service in China , they only have roaming services for USA and Mexico

No but you could use apps like WhatsApp or text now as long as wifi is available. If not you could pick up a local sim if you are spending enough time there to make it worth it.

WhatsApp using wifi , works great as long as both sender and receiver have WhatsApp.

You do realize that Whatsapp and various other platforms available in the western world is banned in China?

yes, local Chinese subscribers cannot use WhatsApp. People using local sim cards from Hong Kong can still use WhatsApp in China
