I currently subscribe to the $15 per month package which provides 3G service. I cannot make or receive calls in the US when I add a US talk and text package. If I change my subscription to one of the 4G packages will that correct the problem?

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Harold

Changing to a 4g plan won't grant new access to LTE networks as it's already available even on 3g plans. To be able to receive VoLTE services, you'll like have to purchase a new phone.

My 3G service did not work at all in the Northeastern US as they pinged with Verizon towers and Verizon dropped access to 3G about a year ago. I upgraded to a 4G with an I phone 8, and my phone worked. Not sure if it will work for you, but thats my story

Make sure you don't have your phone set to 3G preferred. Change it to 4G/LTE. The fact that you're on a 3G plan is irrelevant. The US does not have a 3G network, so if your phone is set to 3G you'll have no service.
