Lately receiving lot of spam calls on PM numbers. Sometimes even the phone will display spam as id.

Most of them are the same area code as mine so I tried to call back couple of times but as usual the number is not in service.

Anyone found any solution to that yet?

spam calls is not something carrier can control, so, PM really has no control

if your number is a new one you got from PM, you can try to get another number. 4 number changes per cycle are allowed

if your have an old number, number much you can do as you likely rather keep the number. If you keep your contact updated , you can try the feature to Silent unknown callers on your phone

phone features, both Android and iPhone have it

but you need to keep your contacts list well, anyone not on the contacts would sent to voicemail directly. And it is true, spammer can still get to voicemail and usually you have a vm alert with empty voice message

There is a tone which tells computers that the number is disconnected. I have recorded it at the beginning of my voicemail message, and it reduced, but not eliminated, computer-generated spam calls. You can Google it, or it's on Wikipedia. Note that it may also block automatic reminder calls from Dentist's office, etc.

Otherwise, just don't answer unknown callers.

I have noticed it a lot, scammers are using same area codes and try to get the call picked up. And I am very frustrated when I realize it is a scammer since I have limited minutes package for both incoming and outgoing calls; so my minutes are wasted, even if it is for seconds. I used to block numbers afterwards. But, once when I called back to a missed call, the receiver said they never call me. So, seems like scammers gain access to numbers of real people as well. So I might be blocking the real numbers that scammers bypass. No real solution yet because of it.
