Need a little more info. Using a sim card or esim? What do you mean it won't let you transfer. Are you getting an error message

I have a eSIM. It’s says my iPhone XR is to old to do transfer so I need to contact public mobile

So it thinks a iPhone 16 is a older model?

Maybe try updating the phone if there an update from Apple.

My iPhone XR is the one that has the phone plan with Public Mobile. I wanna transfer my plan from my iPhone XR to my iPhone 16. However it says that my iPhone XR is to old to do so.

~~take the sim outta XR and put it in 16...voila !!~~

download the PM app on the 16 and log in to your account , buy a new esim.
