My mom is giving me her old phone and I don’t want to switch providers or anything like that. All my information including the phone number I have with public mobile with be on the SIM card is that correct? And I can just transfer it all over using the SIM card? I just want to make sure before I go ahead and remove it lol.

Do you have Gmail on your current phone:? Usually Gmail keeps all your contacts for you. Best way to figure out, go into your gmail account if you have it and check the contacts tab. If you see all your contacts there, your golden once you sign in on the phone.

If not, you can transfer info from phone to phone, you just need to search how on Google.

Changing phone does not affect your plan.

@Jneufeld20211

Yes, all your account information is in your SIM card so it will work by put the SIM in your new phone. Remember SIM comes in 3 sizes with a spacer so just add or remove the spacer.

You can transfer all your apps and data from the old phone to the new phone by using the Samsung Smart Switch app on both phones through wifi or through a cable.

I just got a Black Friday deal for a new tablet because my spouse’s old tablet battery swelled up and pushing the screen out. I used Smart Switch app and every switched over to the new tablet. Check on YouTube on Smart Switch.

https://youtu.be/C-OKpRl9rWQ?si=XeLv3QJAaH4eZClc

It is much easier if it is from iPhone to iPhone. Just scan the special Apple QR code to transfer data and apps.
