I asked to do that several months ago and my request to change my ID was denied. They said they couldn't or wouldn't change it.

and @Charles_Lzc still try to ask. If the username exposes some personal info, like name or phone number, I think support would help

You cannot. As PM would have to have special program in place to go over ALL posting ever posted looking for your 'old' ID and change it to 'new' ID.
