I see some posts in 2023 and early 2024 that PM does not support wifi calling. Is that still the case?

still no Wifi calling. I am not sure if it will come here any time soon as PM is a tier 3 carrier

@Sathya1 Correct no wifi calling at this time , there’s hope we will one day see it though. Never thought we would see CAN/US /MEX plans either but today we have the pleasant surprise I having such options. So keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 it’s next feature to come our way

I'm unsure of why wifi calling is so attractive. We can use wifi to call / text on WhatsApp and other voip utilites. As an 'ol blister...what am I missing ?

Good point , guess more features and value for the price everyone wants as many creature comforts as possible to go along with great prices. The more the merrier when it comes different abilities to use our service

Wifi calling is different from App calling.

Of course, close friends can call you via Whatsapp, Facetime. But other not so close friends, or government, bank, doctor are still using regular voice call only. Some people lives in location where the connection not so well and you surely don't want to miss calls from them. Worst is calling helpdesk, got on hold for 30 mins, finally someone picks up and calls got cut off. So, Wifi calling still a great feature to have

in my situation, I live in a major city, however, for some reason, my house is in a deadspot where I receive a very spotty cell phone reception. So, sometimes I get important calls, where I am unable to hear clearly what the other person is saying or the call gets dropped midway. If I have wifi calling and I am always connected to the wifi at home, I can attend these calls without any problem.

I gotcha. Have you tried your PM sim in a different cell to see if that makes any improvements ?

Yes, I have. Doesn't offer any improvement. Issue is with the network not phone.
