I get an error saying its not possible in my region (im in Canada) so I cant activate my esim.

@RachelKearney Can you change the region to Canada on your App Store to download . Another option is if you can use friends phone to download the app and activate physical SIM card and then from there you can use the website to manage your account .
another work around is to use the website to pay for subscription and then ask support to help finish off the activation

hi @RachelKearney you are using Android, you can sideload the PM app. Go to those Apk site and search for Public Mobile app and download there
