hi community : What kind of plan I must on it if I am outside Canada for 1 year , to keep same number .

@ZALA400 Public mobile only has roaming in the U.S. . So As long as you mean in the U.S.A when out side Canada the CAN /US plan . Any where’s else in the world public mobile dosent have roaming . So you would need local SIM card in your destination

adding but hey you can do if over seas @ZALA400 is turn auto subscribe off and your plan won’t renew . Paying attention to your renewal date you can leave the plan suspended for up to 90 days before the account closes . So on the 85-87 day make manual payment for month and rinse and repeat as often as you like be cheaper way to keep you phone number for the year laying just 4x for the year instead of 12x for the year

where are you going to be outside of Canada, as there are no options other than if you were going to USA for the year.

hi @ZALA400 if you leave Canada for a year, better and cheaper to port out your number to VoIP carrier Fomgo. No monthly fees, just $25 port in fees

when you are back in Canada, you can freely port the number back to any carrier and take advantage of new activation only olan

it appears like Telus has a plan for 365 days at a cost of $100. ( I'm not certain of plan details ). It might benefit you to port your number to Telus and this cheap plan for the year....then port back to PM when you return home.

The $100 Telus plan seems interesting. Couldn’t find further details. Do you know the plan details such as data allotment etc?

Thanks for link. It’s almost too good a deal to be true. Will further investigate when I get home. The way O read it with promo code you get unlimited talk and text plus’s 2gb data/month. Want to make sure before I port out.
