topic Account Dormancy in Get Support

Our son is out of the country until April, 2025. We want to keep his phone number and don't mind paying a monthly fee while he's away but obviously want that to be as low as possible. Is there a dormant account setting that let's you keep the number active? Or do we just choose the lowest available subscription price?

Truthfully, that's a lot of money wasted. You can drop it to a much lower plan or check your mail box for a different option I sent you.

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Change to that

and further save money, you can turn off Autopay on his account, and the resume service for 30 days every 90 days to keep the number alive (account can be suspended for no more than 90 days at a time). With him coming back in April, you probably only need to resume service for one time. You can tell us his upcoming cycle renew date and we can explain that in details

Public Mobile has changed and now you're trapped with higher costs plans...you can't downgrade. Best is to disable Subscribed (Autopay) but keep watching and renew his plan after 85 days in Suspension...but don't miss that window as at day 90 in Suspension, his plan is deactivated and loses his acct.

There is at least one basic plan available that is that I use, combined with any applicable mon. discount = less than $16/mon., and it was half that, previous to the corp. management hoping for larger yrly bonuses ! 🙂
