Once you port over, your Bell account will automatically cancel.

I just signed up for PM. Received cancellation confirmation request from Bell. Can I switch to my new SIM now or do I have to wait for a notification?

And you will get notification from bell that your services are off and you will no longer see bell in the top left of main phone screen
