      <description>&lt;DIV class="lia-message-body"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-message-body-content"&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, today I activated my account on PM.&amp;nbsp; When I initially looking at the service a few days ago, I put in my IMEI number and I thought it said my phone was unlocked - turns out, I didn't read properly and it just said my phone would work on the network.&amp;nbsp; After inserting the sim card, I realized that the phone was locked.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Question: can I assume my plan started today, rather than when I first get my phone active?&amp;nbsp; I've already ordered an unlock code, but it will take 1-5 days, so I probably won't get it until after the weekend.&amp;nbsp; Will mods usually try to help out in this situation and move the plan activation date to the time when the phone is first used?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That most likely will not happen. They are supplying the service to your phone for you to use and you decided on a date to set it up. You will just get more data to use for the rest of your 90 days look at the bright side &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Because I'm cheap and didn't want to pay $50 to do it in person.&amp;nbsp; I ordered it online, and apparently it takes time to get the code sometimes...though I'm not sure how it's quicker when you do it in person.&amp;nbsp; One option would have been to do it with Wind, but it would have cost $30 and I'd apparently be locked with them for 3 months...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Wind charges $30 for an unlock code, as long as you havent bought the phone in the last 90days they provide the unlock code instantly once agreeing to the charge.&amp;nbsp; I unlocked 2 wind blackberry privs yesterday,done in seconds.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Oh, my bad - I though Wind's policy was that after unlocking with them, you had to stay for another 3 months...not that you had to be with them for three months after the purchase of the phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyway, the unlock code will eventually come - but my issue was more with the time passing since I activated my phone, and before I can even use it...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;No worries at all.&amp;nbsp; Just have a bit of patients, most unlockers provide a code in less than 48hrs.&amp;nbsp; If it stretches longer than that just cancel the order and get the code from wind.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was in the same boat.&amp;nbsp; 5.5 years with Wind waiting for things to get better, never happened it actually got worse.&amp;nbsp; Cant even compare Wind to Public(telus) its like a old black and white tv compared to the latest HDTV.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That's what I figure.&amp;nbsp; The last straw for me was several dead spots in the last few weeks - the phone dropped to no signal in areas around Toronto, several times, when in my car in wide open areas (like the 407).&amp;nbsp; I don't remember this happening last year, but the issue all along (like you) is that the data is painfully slow.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyway, I hope I get to try it out soon...bring on the sim unlock code!!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So, funny story - a few hours after trying to get an unlock code online, I got an email from the company saying that they can't get unlock codes for my phone (Huawei Ascend G7) and offered me a refund.&amp;nbsp; I went into my Wind Mobile app, requested the unlock code for $30 bucks and got a text with my unlock code within 10 seconds...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, now my phone is unlocked and I can test out my new faster, juicier service!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks to all of you who responded.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Same here I was with WIND for 3 years and didn't see any upgrades of their network.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; And the last two weeks, we couldn't make any calls at all.&amp;nbsp; I went to a Wind store about the issue, and their representative told me that Wind is doing a big maintenance (kinda upgrading their network) but there aren't any notifications to their customers and public post on their site.&amp;nbsp; Very bad to Wind customers &lt;img id="catfrustrated" class="emoticon emoticon-catfrustrated" src="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/i/smilies/16x16_cat-frustrated.png" alt="Cat Frustrated" title="Cat Frustrated" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
