Is the previous loyalty rewards coming back ?

I just recieved this text message from the 611 :

> Public Mobile: you're 1 month away from earning your first Loyalty Reward! That's $1 off or 1pt every 30 days - for more info visit www.publicmobile.ca/myrewards

That looks a lot like the previous loyalty reward, is it coming back ? The link in the text message does not mention it and I didn't found any announcements about it.

@unsog No they just took em away this past may and moved everyone to the points systems , the good days of legacy $ rewards are gone for the less lucrative points system

adding @unsog did you just refer someone to public mobile ? You will earn 1point every 30 days that they stay and get 5% back on plan spend and 10 points back once a year . Once you have 15 points you can redeem $15 off your bill

That's confusing as the points system has never had a loyalty reward. Not sure what it's referring to.

That's part of why I'm confused.

The only link in the message is a real one, so it's probably not a scam.

As far as I know 3 digits number cannot be spoofed, so it's probably not a prank and must be coming from public mobile.

It mentioned 1pt as an alternative to the 1$ off so it can't be a message from the old system sent by mistake.

LOL, almost 6 months later (from this original post) and I just received the exact same text from Public Mobile today. Guess I shouldn't get excited 🙂
