"I want to add another line—what are my options? Do I qualify for a referral discount? I’ve already bought a SIM card, but now they’re saying there’s a $5 off for new registrations with a SIM card. Does this apply to me, even though I bought the SIM card to replace a lost one (which I’ve since found and want to use)?"

The $5 off only applies when you purchase a new SIM from PM. SIM are $10 but now it is $5.

Login to your first account and use your Referral Code during the activation of your second SIM.

The $10 credit on the second account will be applied to your account within 72 hours and the 1 point/month to the first account will be applied after your renewal date.
