calls straight to voicemail

Hi,

All my calls go straight to voicemail. I can make calls and receive texts. I have plenty of minutes, so cant be the money has ran out. I have restarted the phone, toggled on and off airplane settings... nothing works.

I'm seriously thinking of ditching Public as the service is awful.

you didn't just join PM, right? Can you can make outgoing calls?

just for test, change the network mode to 3G Only or WCDMA Only, check if the phone connects at all under 3G/WCDMA and if incoming calls work

and what brand and model your phone?

and you have a chance to test incoming calls at another location?

No, i've been with PM for a few years. This problem comes and goes, but it's really bad now as it has been several days.

Ive changed to 3G and still no incoming calls.

Im at home. If i dont get calls at home, then there's no point to keep PM

@TaniaGE What phone do you have? If an iPhone make sure the little switch on the top left side hasn't been moved to "silent".

What's the signal strength at the location where this is happening?

I know it seems obvious, but did you check that your volume isn't turned all the way down?

you have another phone to test the PM sim card?

I agree. Im freaking pissed at this phone company. Can't call anyone for help. Cant login to my account. And my phone didnt work in Europe when I just went and so I couldn't login to my bank. Freaking awful.

@Plumrova You are right, you can't call customer service for help but they usually respond quickly via the usual ways, either by opening a support ticket at the chat icon bottom right of this page or, if that doesn't work, sending the agents a private message using this pre-addressed link

As for service in Europe, Public Mobile only has roaming agreements in the USA. Some Canadian carriers don't even have that. That's something to check before signing up with any carrier.

while there is no call centre, the message system is generally ok, just need to give it couple hours

yes, PM is a "no-frills" in this business, you can't expect "Loblaw's" service 🙂

I had better service from Tiny Mobile!!! $29 a month. Service in Europe. and you can actually CALL them and get help if you need. PM is trash.

I had great service from Tiny Mobile for $29 a month. so yes you can expect decent service. I will probably be going back to them.

I was curious so I checked out the Tiny Mobile offers...I don't see the service in Europe?

None of their plans compare to my 50GB Canada / US calling-texting-data plan. $34 per month minus my 32 referrals. So...$2 per month.
