Users have reported that they are accepted sometimes, but the only way to know for certain would be to try that specific card.

yes, gift credit cards are prepaid credit card and most of them work. Only some odd ones have problems

the payment system is trouble even for general update to regular CC. Try back in a day or couple days. Try both browser with Incognito mode and PM app

If you're having trouble using those funds from a MC gift card to pay your plan renewal...get down to Shell gas, Shoppers Drug or Walmart and use the MC gift card to buy PM payment vouchers...then dial 611 to add them to your account for plan renewal.
