Enable Mobile / Personal Hotspot

Hi,

when I try to setup Personal Hotspot on my iphone, it says "To enable personal hotspot on this account, contact Public Mobile". I tried the chat, but, it wouldn't let me get to anything for this topic. Anybody able to assist?

hi @graypf PM does not block hotspot. Reboot phone and try again

some people need to Reset Network settings once to make it works

You will need to type in Submit a Ticket or Contact Agent on Chat bubble.

also check

Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Network -> PERSONAL HOTSPOT / APN -> sp.mb.com , and Leave Username and Password blank.

Exactly what @eddieO said with their link. I followed this and it works for me.

Apple Devices

Open the Settings app on your home screen
Tap on 'Cellular'
Select 'Personal Hotspot' to activate it
Your hotspot is now discoverable, and the default password is shown
If you want to change your password, select 'Wi-Fi Password' and enter a new one

I can also confirm I followed @eddieO link. The steps there work and yuu can setup hotspot that way

thank you. I reset network settings, and that worked
