Add ons roaming US

I am traveling to the US September 25 to October 9. I know I have to add roaming long distance but I’m a little confused as to the difference between the $15 roaming and the $30 roaming add-ons. Also, when do I need to put the ad on, does it have to be the day of my travel?

@Jlop111 They are both for 15 days and it’s best to purchase it right before you leave for your trip , and the 15 days starts as soon as it’s purchased . The $15 roaming is just talk and text the $30 roaming is talk text and 3GB of data , if you go with the later make sure you have data roaming turned in in phone settings when away

be forewarned that unless you have a cellphone that is on the Public Mobile whitelist of volte enabled cellphones, you're unlikely to be able to use the talk portion of the add-on while in US. Here's some reading for you, clipped from the PM Help Files....
