So, What is Up with RCS on iOS18?

Hello, everyone!

As some of you may know, Apple released new version of its major operating system for iPhones, iOS 18. I’m not updating yet (iOS 17 was terrible at launch) but one of the main features is the adoption of RCS standard bring additional functionality to the text exchanges with Android users.

But does it work on Public Mobile? I know that the provider has to enable it on their end first. I see some old discussions from July, back then iOS 18 was in Beta and the feature wasn’t enabled yet. Now that the system is out, I’m wondering if RCS is enabled on iPhones with iOS 18 installed. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, RCS is enabled after installing the iOS 18 update.

I found this list of providers on Apple website where you can see whether or not they have RCS. Freedom Mobile has it, Chatr has it… but Public Mobile is not on the list at all.

Public Mobile is missing from the page completely. Rest assured that RCS is functional on Public Mobile.
