Keeps asking me to insert sim card. Removed card and reinserted and good for a day and then asks again to insert sim card. very annoying.

Do you have another phone to try to insert? It may be either a hardware (phone) issue or the actual SIM card itself.

If you try the SIM card in another phone and have the same issue, then it is a SIM card issue and you could purchase a new SIM card and replace the SIM card number in your self service account and put the new SiM card in your phone.

If the SIM card works with no issues in another phone, then there is an issue with your phone. ? SIM tray issue

Not all phones are eSIM compatible. It does cost $5 to get eSIM.

hi @Peter27 sim card is usually for physical sim card. ESIM is electronic sim. So do you have a physical sim?? if you activate with a physical sim and it keeps asking for sim, you phone sim slot is faulty

test the physical sim in another phone if possible
