@ZR1 Ireland is part of the Long Distance package. What error recording you got?

Try to reboot your phone once and see how it goes

Also, how did you make the call? like this?

Step 1: Exit code – 011
Step 2: Country code – 353
Step 3: Area code and number – 353 1 xxx xxxx
EXAMPLE: 011 353 1 xxx xxxx

Intl long distance Add-On included countries: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada.

Have you confirmed that the add-on is in your account? If you go to purchase an add-on, the purchase process only does a top up. You would then need to go back and repeat the process.

If the add-on is in your account, try using the dialing format of +353 followed by the rest of the number (if you've been trying so far using a different dialing format).

go sign in to Self-Serve, to review your account, and do you see that Add-ons

try 011353xxxxxxx

you can try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,

and try manually selecting network "3G ONLY" or WCDMA only,

*what is meant by rebooting the device turn off and turn it back on.

You can also use the holiday gifts 500 international long distance calling minutes add on to call Ireland as well. By the way The National Gallery of Ireland's admission is free but you have to book at time online to visit the gallery.
