Sorry, but there is no coverage in Mexico and the Public Mobile service will not work there.

Public Mobile does not offer international roaming services in Mexico. If you’re planning to use your phone in Mexico, you may need to get a local SIM card, especially if you are staying long-term.
For short-term eSIMs in Mexico (if your phone supports eSIM), consider providers like Airalo, Nomad, Holafly, GigSky, Truphone, or many others. They offer easy, digital options for data while traveling. You can purchase and activate them online from Canada before your trip.

@Sig1, as mentioned by others, PM does not offer roaming in Mexico but another option is if you have access to WiFi you can use apps like WhatsApp, Messenger or Textnow and there are more
