Data usage

I have 250 MB and can’t figure out how I have used 239 in 9 days. I have turned cellular data off on all my apps and I seldom send pictures in my texts. How can I figure out where the leak is?

@cathy_mcd, best advice would be to also track the data usage on your phones data meter, not just from the PM app which sometimes might not be updating, but keep in mind there could be slight variances in the usage between both (your phone and PM's app). On your phone you should be able to go into the data usage section to see a breakdown of which apps were using data and narrow it down from there

@cathy_mcd if you are using an iPhone go to the phone's settings and then go into Cellular and scroll down until you see the Cellular Data section that how's Apps by Usage

I have the same plan and they have been starting data usage on the renewal date at 100mb. I have submitted a ticket and they are looking into it. You can add up your data usage from your renewal date and see that they start at 100mb. Still waiting for there reply on the ticket.

Check which app used the data is on your phone. are you using Android or iPhone?

On Android, check your Mobile data page, and you can change the date of the current cycle and it will show you which app used the data

Is there any way to figure out what the data was used for? I have turned off the back up cellular data button so my phone is always connected to my home internet. But I have a “charge” for 105.4 in the middle of the night. Any help would be appreciated.

I have set all my apps as off. They are only connected by my home wifi. There is usage in the middle of the night that I can’t figure out. One of them is 105.4 when I am fast asleep. I can’t figure out what it’s being used for.

Public Mobile does not give any specific time of day that the data was used. The data usage is summarized twice per day.

@cathy_mcd no worry about the "middle of the night" usage , you didn't really use the data at that time

PM does not update the data usage constantly. In fact, it only update it twice a day.

So, any entry you see is just a total usage between that timestamp and the timestamp of the previous entry. The early morning usage you see on the Usage log does not mean it was used in the morning but a total usage for the last 12 hours.

Also, for correct usage reading, always use Incognito mode to login My Account to avoid reading cached old info

click the 3 dots or 3 lines on top right of the browser. Some call it Incognito, some call it Private
