Can’t sent texts to new contacts

Since moving to public with an esim, I’m unable to text non contacts and any new contacts set up since moving to public mobile.

one note is that under send/receive under iMessage in settings, I only have my iCloud showing and not my phone number. Can’t figure out how to add my phone number. I’m able to make and receive calls to non and new contacts just no texts.

To add your phone number to iMessage then restart your phone. That should fix your issue.

go to iMessage settings, remove the phone number. Then reboot and turn go back to iMessage settings and add your number back

I can’t add my phone number. Could this be an issue with my set up with the esim?

@Mccor1 should be unrelated with the eSIM. And data works?? you can make and receive calls??

Yes. I can make and receive calls no problem.
