Hello I want to know if PN would work internationally for text like receiving text if am in different country like pakistan. Can i still receive text on my phone with PM

No, PM works only in Canada, and US if you have Canada US plans or US roaming add-on

there is no roaming service outside US.

PM has no service in Pakistan.

if you want to call and text to your Canadian friend, please download Fongo, a VoIP app. You will choose a new Canadian phone number, and you can then use the app to send and receive calls and text whenever you have Wifi on your trip. Of course, you can also buy sim card locally for data

You can use WhatsApp anywhere around the world for free calling and texting when you are connected to wifi but both parties must have the same app.

The best thing about WhatsApp is you are using your PM number and don’t have to pick a secondary number.

but be aware that Whatsapp needs the other party using Whatsapp as well.

so, it cannot be used to call regular phone numbers, like business, or landline.

Looks like posters above have not covered 2FA... No, you can't get SMS verification codes to your Public Mobile number outside of Canada and the US.

Make sure that you have a properly working alternative lined up before leaving Canada. Use a password app like Last Pass. Use the calling or email option if available. Be aware that using a VoIP service for 2FA can be hit-or-miss, some systems detect VoIP numbers and block sending 2FA codes there.
