If i have the us and canada calling and text package do i also need to purchase a roaming package

what do you have? if you have the Canada-US plan , then you don't. if you just have the US long distance calling, then you have to buy roaming.

of course, if you hvae the US roaming call and text package, then you are good to use call and text (not data) when you are in US. But that package has a 15 days expiration.

@Drapper, if you have one of the ($34, $40, $50) Canada/US plans you do not need anything else, your plan will work in the US just as it works in Canada. Just make sure you have your Data Roaming turned ON and check that you are connecting to T-Mobile or AT&T. For best results you should stick to 4G as AT&T will not work on 5G for Public Mobile customers
