Does Public still have the first month free offer and a free SIM card? Think it was available at Walmart?

No, this was a very short time opening on this Promo. I believe it ended April 2.

I believe the promo was sctually second month free, not first. Not that it really matters now that promo is over.

Yes it was. You needed to pay for your initial month and then they would issue a bill credit for your second month. So it wasn't really first month free which would have been more beneficialy to PM to get people to try it out but if you still try it out for 2 months it was 50% off.

I just applied today and supposed to be eligible for 1st month free. Why did I still get charged for 1st month fee? Thanks.

The promotion is not "1st month free", but second month will be credited to your account.
